About the Author and the Illustrator
Ollie George Clark is an award-winning writer who grew up with a passion
for fantasy adventure novels – now he is creating them for the next
generation. The Youngest Faircrest series is full of adventure, humour,
impossible creatures, and daring missions; all centred around a truly
exceptional protagonist. Ollie is the winner of the British Comedy Guide
Sitcom Competition and has been nominated for the Liverpool Hope
Playwriting Prize and David Nobbs comedy award, while his radio play,
Nightmare(ish), was named critics’ choice in The Times and The Radio
Times. Alongside novel writing, he has multiple television shows in active
development and is under commission for a new play.
Tom Knight grew up on Mersea Island on the Essex coast, where he returned to live after having
children of his own. Having grown up on a small farm, Tom spent most of his time using his
imagination to create new worlds from the hedgerows and haystacks. After an enjoyable stint as a
graphic designer, Tom is now proud to be using his imagination in his award-winning work as an
illustrator for books for kids of all ages.
